Are you feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself and the people who matter most to you? Life can shift unexpectedly through trauma, loss, accidents, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, or major transitions that leave you feeling uncertain, stuck, and alone. When emotional pain is carried in silence, it can impact your confidence, relationships, daily functioning, and overall sense of well-being. I understand how difficult that can feel. Healing begins in a space where you feel truly heard, supported, and understood. I believe that through compassion, connection, and meaningful therapeutic work, it is possible to rediscover clarity, resilience, and hope.
My name is Salma Ghandour, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 10 years of professional experience supporting individuals, couples, children, and families through life’s challenges. My background includes community mental health, child and family services, trauma recovery, vocational rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and supporting individuals impacted by violence, displacement, incarceration, and significant emotional hardship. I have also served as a Critical Response Trauma Responder, providing immediate emotional support and stabilization to individuals following traumatic and high-stress events.
In addition, I have experience completing Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) psychological assessments, treatment planning, and rehabilitation support for individuals recovering from the emotional, psychological, and functional impacts of accidents. I understand how traumatic injuries can affect mental health, identity, relationships, employment, and day-to-day life. My work includes assisting clients with recovery goals, emotional adjustment, pain-related stress, anxiety, trauma symptoms, and restoring confidence and functioning after accidents.
I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem challenges, relationship conflict, burnout, life transitions, and stress related to work or family responsibilities. I also help individuals navigating divorce, parenting challenges, loss, cultural pressures, and patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, numb, or unsure of your next steps, therapy can help create lasting change.
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I specialize in Trauma-Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based approaches. Emotionally Focused Therapy allows clients and couples to better understand emotional patterns, strengthen connection, and build more secure, healthy relationships. I tailor each treatment plan to your unique needs, pace, and goals, recognizing that no two healing journeys are the same.
As someone fluent in English, Arabic, and French, I value creating an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and welcoming environment where clients from diverse backgrounds feel safe to express themselves openly. I understand how culture, identity, family expectations, and lived experiences shape emotional well-being and relationships.
My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can process life’s challenges, develop practical coping tools, heal from past wounds, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. Seeking support is a courageous first step, and you do not have to do it alone. I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and renewed confidence.
